What is Gara?
Gara is a free all-in-one fitness and habit tracker. Log workouts, build daily habits, track water and nutrition, monitor body stats, and watch your progress over time. You can also choose from 15 structured programs — challenges, running races, OCR events, and strength camps — or just train at your own pace with no program at all.
Do I need to follow a structured program?
No. Gara works whether you're doing 75 Hard, training for a marathon, lifting weights, or just building better daily habits. Choose a structured program when you're ready — or don't. The tracking tools work either way.
What's the difference between 75 Hard and 75 Soft?
75 Hard requires two 45-minute workouts daily (one outdoor), a strict diet with no alcohol or cheat meals, 4L of water, 10 pages of reading, and a progress photo. 75 Soft is a more flexible version: one workout, no weekday alcohol, and relaxed diet rules.
Does Gara support marathon training?
Yes. Gara includes a 16-week marathon training program with daily run tracking, fueling targets, sleep tracking, and recovery protocols. Select 'Marathon Training' when setting up your program.
Does Gara support Hyrox training?
Yes. Gara includes a 12-week Hyrox program as well as Spartan Race (16 weeks) and Triathlon (20 weeks). Each gives you a daily checklist for training, conditioning, hydration, nutrition, sleep, and mobility — plus event-specific guide content.
Is Gara free?
Yes — the Free plan covers habit tracking, water tracking, basic workout logging, and the calendar. No credit card needed. Gara ($15/mo CAD) adds protein & nutrition tracking, exercise logging, body stats, custom habits, challenges, and more. Gara Pro ($22/mo CAD) adds per-set weight & reps tracking. All paid plans start with a 3-day free trial.
Can I build my own workout plan?
Yes! Use the Plan Builder to create custom workouts from 700+ exercises across 43 session types. You can also use a pre-built plan and customize individual days.
How do I track my workouts?
Go to the Train tab. You can log sets with reps and weights for detailed tracking, or just tap "Mark session done" for quick logging. Session metrics like duration, distance, and heart rate are optional.
Can I share my progress with friends?
Yes! Enable your Public Profile in the app and share your unique link. Anyone with the link can see your day number, streak, and motivation statement.
How do teams work?
Create a team in the app and share a 6-character code with friends. When they join, everyone's live stats (day, streak, completion %) show automatically. Great for accountability.
Is my data backed up?
Gara automatically creates daily backups of all your data including workouts, tracking, books, and your full profile. You can view and restore backups anytime.
What happens if I break a challenge rule?
Tap "I broke a rule today" in the Rules tab. You can either mark the day as missed and keep going, or restart from Day 1. Your previous data is archived either way.
Does it work on iPhone / Android?
Gara works in any mobile browser. You can also add it to your home screen for a native app-like experience (it's a PWA). No app store download needed.
What is the Challenge Pass?
The Challenge Pass ($45 CAD, one-time) gives you 75 days of full Gara access — no subscription needed. Perfect if you want to run a single 75-day challenge without a monthly commitment. After 75 days you drop back to the free plan automatically.
Does Gara have communities?
Yes. You can join public communities organized by goal (challenges, running, strength, etc.) and see a leaderboard ranked by streak. Communities are a Gara feature — upgrade to access them.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Cancel anytime from Settings → Account → Manage subscription. You keep full access until the end of your billing period. Your data is never deleted — you drop to the free plan automatically at expiry.
Is Gara affiliated with Andy Frisella?
No. Gara is an independent tracker. 75 Hard™ is a program created by Andy Frisella.
